Each month, we are proud to recognize YMCA of the Greater Waukesha County employees who have exemplified outstanding service through their work, have demonstrated a positive and supportive attitude, and have served the Y’s mission in an exceptional manner. Read more this month’s staff below.
Julie is the Mukwonago YMCA's Employee of the Month for January! Julie recently stepped into the role of 4K teacher and is co-leading in the Extended Care classroom. Julie is very self-motivated, dependable, compassionate, and caring, bringing so much fun into our programs. We are thankful she is part of the Mukwonago Team.
Cole has been working at the Southwest YMCA for 5 years as a lifeguard! He is a total rockstar. Cole jumps in and helps train and guide new staff. He also communicates extremely well with members and teammates. Alongside work, Cole is going to school for Biomedical Engineering and loves to play basketball for fun. Thank you for keeping our pool safe!
Amanda chose the Y because she grew up in Menomonee Falls and came here as a kid. When she moved back to Wisconsin after college in Michigan, she joined again. Amanda works as a graphic designer for Principal Financial Group during the day and as a Cycling and BODYPUMP instructor at night. Her favorite part about the Y is the members and participants. Fun fact about Amanda: she went to high school with Andy Hurley (the drummer from Fall Out Boy).
Dave is one of the few people who can say he knows the Waukesha YMCA facility like the back of his hand. His early roots at our facility started in 2010 as a custodian. His dedication and work ethic shine through as a maintenance specialist. He works tirelessly alongside Waukesha’s facilities director to keep our historic building running smoothly. Dave spends his off time with his wife of 10 years and two children. When he finds quiet time, he collects autographed science fiction books and listens to audiobooks.
Sarah is our January Employee of the Month and has been with the Membership Team for 1 year and 3 months. She is reliable and dependable. She is always willing to help a member with an issue. Outside of working at the Y, Sarah plays soccer, works out, and enjoys spending time with her son. Please stop by the desk and congratulate Sarah on this accomplishment!
Imagine going to work knowing that what you do positively influences people in our community. Join our team and make an impact! We're hiring passionate people who want to make a difference. All Y employees receive a FREE membership and program discounts.
