Each month, we are proud to recognize YMCA of the Greater Waukesha County employees who have exemplified outstanding service through their work, have demonstrated a positive and supportive attitude, and have served the Y’s mission in an exceptional manner. Read more this month’s staff below.
Bob is our June Employee of the Month. You can see Bob early mornings in the Aquatics Department as a Lifeguard. Bob has a true passion for water safety and is always excited to participate in our SAW (Safety Around Water) events that we host for local second graders. Bob has been recognized by the Leadership team and members for his hard work and dedication to the Aquatics Department. Bob has a great sense of humor and loves to tell a joke of the day for the staff and the Aquatics patrons. Thank you, Bob, for all you do to ensure our members’ safety in our pools and for being great to work with.
Tim is a Site Supervisor for our Y BASE program and, in the summer, can be found working our summer camp! He is a beloved camp counselor from last summer, so you will still hear most of his Y BASE kids call him by his camp name: Yoshi. Tim brings creative new ideas to our Y BASE and camp programs and is always willing to star in a YGWC TikTok. Tim also has a passion for fitness, and when not in programs with the kids, he can be found helping our LIVESTRONG® at the YMCA program and recently passed his test to be a personal trainer here at the Y! We are so grateful for all he brings to our team!
Quinton joined the Y because he felt it was the best option for him to teach and work with the kids while having fun at the same time. His favorite thing about working for the Y is being around his wonderful co-workers. He enjoys spending time with them and his boss, where they can chat and have fun. He also enjoys teaching our young participants, especially things they may not have known. Outside of the Y, Quinton loves to play games and also spend time with his friends, especially if it involves eating food! Fun fact about Quinton, he has traveled outside of the country before.
Alongside being an incredible addition to the Waukesha YMCA Business Office since first starting in 2022, Kristen is a stay-at-home mother to a 7-year-old son and 2 crazy fur babies that keep her plenty busy.
Kristen loves working at the Y because of her interactions with our members, the relationships she has built with her co-workers, and the flexibility of her schedule, allowing her time to be there for her son’s school-related functions and activities.
Kristen brings a unique lighthearted, and joyful energy to the Business Office. She can naturally change anyone’s day from bad to great! Members absolutely adore her, and our staff couldn’t be more thankful to have her.
We are so fortunate to have Kristen on our team and can’t imagine what we’d do without her!
Jaime joined the Y as a custodian in January 2023 and has proven invaluable to the West Suburban team. With an unwavering work ethic, she consistently surpasses expectations, going the extra mile in her duties. When she's not dedicated to her job, Jaime finds solace in her passions, such as indulging in moments of relaxation, participating in Tae Kwon Do, and immersing herself in the world of video games. Interestingly, she has resided in a remarkable count of six different states. It is without a doubt that Jaime's commitment and effort are sincerely treasured by all of us.
Imagine going to work knowing that what you do positively influences people in our community. Join our team and make an impact! We're hiring passionate people who want to make a difference. All Y employees receive a FREE membership and program discounts.
