Our Association Leadership has been monitoring the situation to ensure we are kept well informed on prevention measures and prepared for the potential impacts of the virus.
The products used to clean common spaces and surfaces at our Ys are effective in preventing the spread of common viruses, including COVID-19.
We have increased our cleaning protocols and staff will be giving extra attention to frequently touched surfaces such as equipment, countertops, doorknobs, light switches, flush levers, and sinks.
Staying home and resting will help you recover more quickly when you are ill and will further prevent the spread of illness.
Before and after using exercise equipment, please wipe the surfaces with the provided spray and paper towels.
Keep hands clean by washing with soap and water for 20 seconds or using an alcohol-based hand sanitizer. Avoid touching your face/nose/eyes/mouth.
Make sure to cough/sneeze into your arm or a tissue to prevent the spread of germs through the air. Please also wash your hands after coughing/sneezing to prevent leaving germs behind on surfaces.
Above all else, we encourage our members to pay close attention to the precautionary measures and the most accurate, up-to-date information surrounding COVID-19 as laid out by the Centers for Disease Control, the Wisconsin Department of Health Services, and the World Health Organization.
For a better us.®
