Brad and his son, Aidan, have been members of the West Suburban YMCA since 2013. Aidan is currently 10 years old, and has had the opportunity to participate in many Y programs over the last four years, including West Suburban summer day camp, STEAM camp, Y Before & Afterschool Engagement (YBASE), basketball, soccer, and even celebrated his 7th birthday at the Y.
Brad shared his excitement to see Aidan’s progress and increased responsibility of becoming an adviser at Y BASE, and recognized his positive development toward the Y’s four core values of caring, responsibility, honesty, and respect. Through the Y programs, Aidan has had enriching memories and opportunities that have helped him become the happy and well-rounded kid that he is today. Brad adds, “as a single parent, it means more than mere words that we have received financial assistance to ensure that Aidan is allowed to thrive.”
