Well-being and fitness at the Y goes beyond just working out -- we provide educational programs to promote healthy lifestyles and offer a variety of programs that support physical, intellectual, and spiritual strength.
Sometimes, the results on the scale can be discouraging when you work so hard to reach your weight-loss goals. A body composition analyzer can help provide essential data for any weight loss and fitness program. At the Y, we use InBody testing to assess how much muscle, fat, and water you have in your body. InBody testing is available for members ages 16 & older who don’t have a personal trainer for just $10.
I recently had a discouraged client because she was lifting weights three times a week for six weeks and was only down 1 lb on the scale. We did an InBody analysis and found that she gained 5 lbs of muscle and lost 6 lbs of fat. What a HUGE difference! The results encouraged her to keep lifting and working out to continue to see progress.
