Each month, we are proud to recognize YMCA of the Greater Waukesha County employees who have exemplified outstanding service through their work, have demonstrated a positive and supportive attitude, and have served the Y’s mission in an exceptional manner. Read more about this month’s staff below.
Congratulations to Lexi, who was chosen as our March Employee of the Month! Lexi has been greeting members with her welcoming smile since September 2022. Whether she is coming in early to make sure everything is ready for the day or covering a shift for a co-worker, Lexi’s helpfulness and reliability make her an asset to the Y. We are grateful she is part of our Mukwonago team! Please join us in celebrating Lexi the next time you see her at the front desk.
Jessica is the Employee of the Month for March! Jessica has been an employee at Southwest YMCA for almost a year and a half, serving as a youth sports instructor, volleyball coach, and dance instructor in the Sports Department. Jessica enjoys working at the Y because she gets to work with kids within her community and make a difference in their lives. Jes is always quick to help when needed and never backs down from a challenging situation. When Jes isn’t at the Y, she enjoys spending time with her friends and running. We’re incredibly thankful to Jes for her unwavering dedication to the kiddos in our programs and the invaluable knowledge and support she provides! Thank you for all you do, Jes!
Congratulations to our March Employee of the Month, Sean! Sean began to work for the Y because it provided a flexible schedule and allowed Miss Rose, our preschool teacher, to teach his children while he worked or got some exercise in. His favorite things about the Y are the member’s achievements. He loves the dedication of the seasoned members, and the excitement and progressions of the younger swimmers is fun to witness. He enjoys the advice and experiences that the members share with each other to help one another out. Outside of the Y, you will find Sean shuttling his kids between activities, watching their activities, or helping coach their activities.
Congratulations to Brea, the Waukesha Y's Employee of the Month for March! Fun fact, Brea started her time with Coach Jon at the age of 8 years old as a program participant! After starting as a volunteer last summer, Brea was officially hired in the Fall of 2023 and has been a big help in Waukesha’s sports department. Brea always brings her positive and encouraging attitude, making everyone feel welcomed. Her positive attitude and smiles are contagious. She goes out of her way to make sure everyone has a great time and ensures each class participant gets a stamp at the end of class.
Brea likes to play softball, hang out with friends, cook, and do art. Her favorite foods are mac and cheese and tacos. We are incredibly fortunate to have Brea as part of our Waukesha Youth Sports Crew!
Congratulations to our March Employee of the Month, Kamy! Kamy has worked for the YMCA for the past year as a Child Watch Attendant and a Youth Sports Instructor. Kamy exudes joyful energy and compassion when working with our youth members. As an instructor, she is always prepared to help the kids develop their skills, but also makes practices fun and ensures all kids feel included and valued. Kamy has three wonderful children who love to teach their mom new languages. Along with her husband, Kamy and her family love to travel to Florida where they enjoy deep-sea fishing and hunting for shark's teeth on the beach.
