Each month, we are proud to recognize YMCA of the Greater Waukesha County employees who have exemplified outstanding service through their work, have demonstrated a positive and supportive attitude, and have served the Y’s mission in an exceptional manner. Read more this month’s staff below.
Sara is the Mukwonago YMCA's October Employee of the Month! She has been working for the Mukwonago YMCA for just over two years and always has a smile on her face wherever she goes. You can find her in Child Watch, looking after all of the little ones, or running our Youth Safety Training programs. Sara has a strong passion for kids, and it shows every day that she is here! Even with her busy medical school schedule, Sara never fails to pick up a shift or help out where it is needed. If you see Sara, be sure to say Hi!
Gabe has been an employee at the Southwest YMCA for the past 7 months, serving as a lifeguard in the Aquatics Department. Gabe enjoys his work at the Y because not only can he ensure the safety of members in the pool, but he can also utilize the exercise equipment with his own membership. We would like to give Gabe an extra shout-out for his invaluable contribution to keeping the pool open during the school year; he's been a true rockstar! When Gabe isn't on duty, he can usually be found working out at the Y or spending time with his friends. We are extremely grateful to have Gabe on our team and eagerly anticipate what the future holds for him at the Y!
I.K is a diligent worker who consistently arrives with a smile on his face. He is amiable with both staff and members alike. I.K is always enthusiastic about his work and excels at maintaining the cleanliness of the Y. He previously worked at the Germantown Public Library as a library assistant, where he also assisted with cleaning. He chose to join the Y because it offered him an opportunity to showcase his strong work ethic. His favorite aspect of working at the Y is tending to the windows and forming connections with those around him. As a fun fact, I.K loves theatre and participates in his church's choir every Wednesday!
