It’s a matter of balance! Make everyday activities easier with a combination of traditional and functional exercises. With the support of a personal trainer, you’ll learn skills and techniques to help increase your balance, strengthen your muscles, and improve your posture. All levels of fitness welcome.
Feel the power of movement! Work closely with a certified PWR! Moves instructor to learn the building blocks of FUNction. By practicing four basic moves, you’ll target multiple symptoms that interfere with your everyday movements and mobility. We’ll supplement these evidence-based patterns with brain exercises to help boost your memory and executive functions.
Be informed! InBody testing provides a quick and easy, non-invasive body analysis that provides essential data for any weight loss and fitness program.
After your quick analysis of body composition, you will receive a print out of your measurements including:
- Body fat mass
- Body mass index
- Dry lean mass
- Basal metabolic rate
- Lean body mass
- Segmental lean-analysis
- Total body water
- Skeletal muscle mass
- Total weight
For most accurate results, avoid:
- Exercising 6 hours prior
- Eating 2-3 hours prior
- Consuming alchohol or caffeine 24 hours prior
- Using a hot shower or sauna before testing
Prior to testing, please:
- Hydrate well
- Use the bathroom
- Remove socks, heavy clothing such as jackets, metal objects

Meet your specific fitness goals with added support and motivation from a workout buddy in our HIIT Zone at West Suburban YMCA. You and a friend work together with a certified personal trainer to develop an exercise plan.
