Youth Athletic Performance will be basic enough for any youth member that falls in the 8-12 age range to participate in but will still have advanced movements to ensure they are challenging themselves and improving their athletic capabilities. Whether they?re looking to get ready for their upcoming sport season or looking for a fun evening activity to participate in\, Youth Athletic Performance will be a great option. Fun games and competitions should be incorporated to keep kids engaged and looking forward to coming to class.

DESCRIPTION:The Diabetes Prevention Program helps adults at high risk of developing type 2 diabetes adopt and maintain a healthy lifestyle by eating healthier\, increasing physical activity\, and losing a modest amount of weight. In a safe\, supportive environment\, participants work together to learn strategies for making behavior changes that will improve their overall health and well-being. The program is led by a trained Lifestyle Coach in a classroom setting and consists of 26 sessions over the course of a year. Program goals include reducing body weight by 7% and increasing physical activity to 150 minutes per week.

DESCRIPTION:Stroke Introduction: Children entering this level should be able to swim 15 yards on their front and back independently.  Students develop stroke technique in front and back crawl and learn the breaststroke kick and butterfly kick.  Treading is also introduced.\nAges 6-12 years.
