Southwest YMCAPractices will focus on further developing the foundational basketball skills learned in toddler and preschool classes. Individual and team skills will be worked on throughout the class.

Practices will focus on further developing the foundational basketball skills learned in toddler and preschool classes. Individual and team skills will be worked on throughout the class.
Must have completed 2 sessions of Beginning Jazz/Poms or prior teacher authorization. Continuation of Beginning Jazz/Poms. Jazz based combination work with more complex rhythmed footwork with poms.
Water Discovery: introduces infants and toddlers to the aquatic environment through exploration and encourages them to enjoy themselves while learning about the water. Ages 6 months to 3 years.
Water Exploration: Children entering this level should be comfortable in the water, able to respond to verbal cues and jump on land. Parents work with their children to explore body positions, floating, blowing bubbles, and fundamental safety and aquatic skills. Ages 1 to 3 years.
Water Acclimation: For the child not quite ready to swim without the parent. Transition between parent and instructor throughout first half of session. Focus is on learning to listen to an instructor, becoming comfortable in the water, and safely exploring movement in the water. Ages 2.5-4 years.
