How can I remain active during this closure?
We understand there will be some interruption in access to your membership; however, your continued support is appreciated. We have options for virtual workouts. Click HERE for more information.
Is child care still open? Is child care available for my kids?
YMCA Children's Academy will remain closed until further notice. All School's Out Fun Days, Before & After School Care, Preschool, 4K, and Extended Care programs are canceled while schools are shut down and the YMCA is closed.
Will we receive credits for programs while the Y is closed?
We understand there will be some interruption in access to our programs; however, your continued support is appreciated. Please contact us at info@gwcymca.org so we can address your concerns.
I understand the Y will continue to draft my membership during the closure. Please tell me, how are those funds being used?
We are overwhelmed by the support of our members who are continuing their membership during the closure. Supporting the Y through your membership will allow us to continue essential functions like:
- Operating, maintaining, and cleaning our building
- Preparing for our next session of programs
- Supporting our staff with creative work options while normal operations are suspended
Will I be getting any money back related to Membership dues because of the closure?
Your support of the Y, now more than ever, is needed to ensure that the Y is here for the community when we re-open. For this short period of closure, no membership refunds will be extended; however, we are excited to offer you two forms of virtual fitness and wellness so you can maintain your fitness journey and stay connected to the Y during this time.
What if I need to cancel my membership?
If that is necessary, please email your name, phone number, and YMCA home branch to info@gwcymca.org so we can properly address your request.
Are there any cleaning precautions taking place during the closure?
While our facilities are closed our staff teams will be cleaning and sanitizing all spaces, equipment, surfaces, and common areas.
