To enroll in Fit Swim, participants must have completed Stage 6 or have the equivalent swim skills. Participants must be able to swim 50 yards of freestyle, backstroke, and breast stroke as well as attempt 25 yards of butterfly in order to enroll in this class. This class builds on the foundations developed in our YMCA core swimming lessons. Participants will learn how to build a swimming workout as well as gain endurance and strength in their swim strokes. This class prepares participants for next level swimming.

To enroll in Stroke Clinic, participants must be have the skills of Stages 4-6. In the one day clinics, participants will gain additional help and instruction on the competitive strokes. Each clinic will focus on a specific stroke: freestyle, backstroke, breast stroke, and butterfly.
Group swim lessons provide a comfortable environment for teens to learn to swim by encouraging them to set personal goals and achieve them. A certified instructor will work with each participant's current skill level and help them improve. All skill levels are welcome.

Individuals choosing Beginner Swim Lessons may have a fear of the water, have very little to no swimming skills, and are ready to take the first step toward learning to swim. You will work toward your own personal goals while working on water adjustment, gaining confidence, floating, basic swimming skills, and basic personal safety skills.

Participants must be able to swim on front and back at least one full length of the pool without hesitation or fear. Class provides a comfortable environment for adults to improve their swimming skills. Participants work on individual goals at their own pace with an instructor.
