EXPLORE THE OUTDOORS

CAMP REGISTRATION NOW OPEN

Outdoor exploration awaits at Camp Double Eagle, located on over 30 acres in the southern unit of beautiful Kettle Moraine State Forest. Amenities includes an outdoor swimming pool, bath and shower facilities, basketball court, climbing wall, archery range, craft lodge, and an open-air shelter. Campers will hike to Paradise Springs to discover nature as a part of their outdoor adventure and take field trips to Ottawa Lake throughout the summer for water activities, fishing, and picnicking.

CAMP HOURS

Monday-Friday | 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM

EXTENDED CARE

Extended Care is a free service and is available 7:00-9:00 AM and 4:00-6:00 PM daily at the Mukwonago and Waukesha YMCAs.  Extended Care will also be available at the Southwest YMCA during Weeks 3, 6, and 9.  Extended Care is not available onsite at Camp Double Eagle. 


CAMPER DROP-OFF & PICK-UP

Campers that miss the bus at any location are required to provide their own transportation to Camp Double Eagle.  Campers will not be permitted to transfer to another Day Camp for the day.  An Alternative Release Form must be submitted if you require any change to your pick up.

Mukwonago YMCA and Waukesha YMCA | Campers must be signed in no later than 8:25 AM.  Buses will depart promptly at 8:35 AM and will return to the YMCA between 4:15-4:30 PM.

Southwest YMCA | Camper drop off and pick up is available Weeks 3, 6, and 9.  Campers must be signed in by 8:20 AM.  Bus will depart promptly at 8:30 AM and return to the Southwest YMCA at 4:30 PM.

Camp Double Eagle | Campers may be dropped off no earlier than 9:00 AM and picked up no later than 4:00 PM.


DIRECTIONS

Camp Double Eagle is located directly next door to the Generac Plant on Hwy 67 in Eagle, WI.


ABSENCES & SCHEDULE CHANGES

If your child will be absent for any reason, please contact the YMCA that your child is being dropped off and picked up at prior to 8:00 AM.  The YMCA opens at 5:00 AM.  A YMCA staff person will forward your message to the appropriate camp director.

  Swim Lessons at Camp

SWIM LESSONS (MON-THU)

Summer Day Camp swim lessons are offered for campers as a convenient way to get your child extra confidence in the water. Lessons will take place before or after camp during extended care time and vary based on age group and location.

You can purchase a week of swim lessons just like you would purchase a week of camp. Each week of swim lessons will have four, 30 minute swim lessons (one lesson each day, Monday-Thursday).

Swimmers will be assessed at the start of each week and placed in a group appropriate for their age and skill level.


PRICING

Ages 4-13: $22/Member, $44/Program Participant.

*No swim lessons will be offered during WEEK 4 (July 1-5) or Weeks 11 and 12 (August 19-30).

  Counselor in Training Program (Ages 13-15)

In our Counselor In Training (CIT) Program, teens have the opportunity to shadow and be mentored by our Summer Day Camp counselors and leadership staff. During their time at camp, CITs will develop leadership skills through interactions with counselors and work with counselors to develop lesson plans to lead group games and activities.

  2019 Camp Double Eagle Pricing

FULL WEEK OPTION

Children attend all five days during the chosen week and participate in all traditional camp activities.  There is no camp on Thursday, July 4. WEEK 4 full-week camps are prorated.

Ages 7-13: $184/Member, $214/Program Participant.
 


3-DAY OPTION

Children attend three days during the week and participate in all traditional camp activities on the chosen days. Days of the week must be selected at the time of registration.

Ages 7-13: $122/Member, $142/Program Participant.

Y WARRIORS 

WEEK 1 | June 10-14

Do you dream of being the next Ninja Warrior? Focus on the benefits of exercise and healthy living through fitness classes and challenges, boot camp, yoga, tai chi, meditation, nutrition, and martial arts.


CAMP CREATE 

WEEK 2 | June 17-21

Do you see potential in every shoe box for a creative masterpiece? Then this is the week for you! Create a variety of DIY projects including woodworking, textiles, nature painting, and sculpting.


GARDENING CAMP 

WEEK 3 | June 24-28

Cultivate a love of gardening at Camp Double Eagle. Campers will create and tend to gardens, explore how plants grow, and learn how to prepare crops.


MACH-1* 

WEEK 4 | July 1-3, 5

Prepare to be extreme in our Multi-Adventure Challenge week! Ropes course, canoeing, archery, hiking, and geocaching. This will be a week of adventurous challenges. *NO CAMP ON JULY 4.


BEACH LIFE 

WEEK 5 | July 8-12

Live the beach life at Camp Double Eagle! We’ll play water games, have sand castle competitions, and learn water safety and science.


SURVIVAL SKILLS 

WEEK 6 | July 15-19

Spend the week learning how to survive in the outdoors. Set up a camp site, start a campfire, learn basic survival skills, plant identification, and more. Round out the week with an optional family campout at Camp Double Eagle!


ANIMAL EXPLORATION 

WEEK 7 | July 22-26

Animal lovers will love camp this week! Animal science, animal crafts, animal games. It’s a week dedicated to animals!


MAKERS’ CLUB 

WEEK 8 | July 29 - August 2

Have you ever made a battery from pennies? What will your robot do? Who will win the Pinewood Derby? Let your imagination run wild as we get creative! Using basic materials, campers will get to build while exploring simple engineering and scientific principles.


DRAMA WEEK 

WEEK 9 | August 5-9

Calling all actors and drama enthusiasts! The Camp Double Eagle Theatre Company has immediate openings for our 1st Annual Summer Day Camp play. Campers will select a play, learn the lines, build the set, create the props, and rehearse all in preparation for the one-time only showing of their play on Friday afternoon. Families are invited!


AMAZING RACE 

WEEK 10 | August 12-16

Explore the world and different cultures by completing challenges and following clues. Learn new languages, create traditional toys and costumes, sample new foods, and learn ethnic dances.


NATURE STEM 

WEEK 11 | August 19-23

Connect with nature on a whole new level. Learn about science, technology, engineering, and math concepts through hands on exploration of nature. Among other things, we will explore erosion through sandcastles, engineer spider webs and stick rafts, and try to generate power with a dirt battery.


SUMMER CELEBRATION 

WEEK 12 | August 26-30

Celebrate summer with traditional camp games, camper group challenges, and more. Make your last week of camp a memorable one!
