RSVP: $10/Members & $10/Program Participants
The second Sunday in December is National Children's Remembrance Day. It is designed to reach out to families who grieve the loss of a child, no matter how young or how old, and recognize that the holidays can be difficult for families missing a loved one. The event occurs worldwide and starts at 7:00 pm in each time zone with a candle lighting to create a wave of light and shared experience. Here is a link to one of the sites that describes the day:

Julie will be teaching a 'movement healing' class, similar to a gentle yoga, and each member will receive a candle with their person or person's name on it for the class. After class, they can take their candles home, and we will put luminaries in the front of the Y with names on them in the shape of a heart. You do not have to participate in the class to attend, but be assured, the class will move slowly with multiple modifications, including chair options. There will also be a take home program that mentions each person remembered at our event.
We hope this evening helps you feel supported and seen during what can be a difficult time of the year. We welcome members and community members, and we want to honor all of our beautiful children.
