Branch Closure Announcement
YMCA OF GREATER WAUKESHA COUNTY
SAFEGUARDING OUR HEALTH
Monday, March 16, 2020
For over 125 years, the YMCA of Greater Waukesha County has been a pillar of strength and has valued the safety and wellbeing of our members, staff, and broader community. We have been diligently monitoring all national and local updates surrounding the COVID-19 (coronavirus) situation. In order to best ensure the health of our entire Y community, we have decided to close all YMCA of Greater Waukesha County wellness facilities effective Wednesday, March 18.
At this time, the Y will remain closed through Sunday, April 5. All programs and events will be cancelled during this time and will not be rescheduled. We plan to re-open and resume all programs on Monday, April 6.
Our YMCA Children's Academy (full-day child care center) will remain open to address the critical need for child care services in our community.
We are committed to finding new ways to connect with our members during this time. To help you stay active at home, we are pleased to offer our members FREE access to online workouts and group exercise classes for the next 60 days. These options offer high-quality workouts via TV, computer, tablet, and smartphone:
We understand there will be some interruption in access to your membership and programs; however, your continued support is appreciated. We ask that you please continue your Y membership and program enrollment. We, as a community, will get through this. And when we do, we want to be in the best shape to support you and your family.
Given the ever-changing nature of the situation, we will continue to communicate any updates at gwcymca.org/coronavirus as soon as they are available.
Thank you again for being a loyal member of the YMCA family and for your continued support. We wish you and your loved ones good health.
Sincerely,
Chris Becker, CEO
Please wait while we gather your results.
