Each month, we are proud to recognize YMCA of the Greater Waukesha County employees who have exemplified outstanding service through their work, have demonstrated a positive and supportive attitude, and have served the Y’s mission in an exceptional manner. Read more this month’s staff below.
Michelle is a wonderful asset to the team in the Fitness and Membership departments. She diligently maintains the cleanliness and safety of our fitness center while also fostering an amazing environment for our group exercise classes. Michelle is consistently willing to assist anyone and greets everyone with a smile on her face. We deeply value everything she contributes to the Y!
Korra began her journey at the Y in our aquatics department in 2018. In 2022, she transitioned to our Y BASE & Camp team as a specialist, and this summer, she took on the role of Site Supervisor for our Y BASE program. Korra's dedicated efforts have propelled her to this position, and our team takes pride in celebrating her remarkable achievements along the way. Her dynamic energy and creative approach shine through in the program as she introduces inventive lesson plans that captivate and delight all the children. Her knack for infusing humor into situations ensures not only laughter but also successful task completion.
Julie has been a member of the Y for 8 years and has served as an instructor for over a year and a half. She is eager to expand her expertise by becoming certified in multiple exercise formats. Julie consistently demonstrates her willingness to assist her peers and coworkers by stepping in as a substitute instructor. You can always count on Julie to support the Y's special events and programs, often with the enthusiastic participation of her family.
Diana is a familiar face to both employees and members of the Waukesha YMCA. This marks her second recognition as Employee of the Month, and it is truly well-deserved. Amidst a shortage of custodial staff, Diana demonstrated exceptional dedication by stepping up and exceeding the call of duty. She ensured that our facility, members, and employees received the essential support they needed. Diana tirelessly worked unconventional hours, readily filling in the gaps wherever necessary. Beyond her work commitments, Diana enjoys cooking, spending quality time with her family, biking, and exploring new destinations. If you happen to visit our facility, don't be surprised if Diana greets you with her trademark phrase: "Hi, friend!"
Join us in applauding Kalissa, our exceptional Employee of the Month! Since September 2021, Kalissa has brought her unwavering dedication to the forefront as both a fitness instructor and a Youth Sports coach. Her commitment to preparation, engagement, and kindness shines through in every role she takes on, creating impactful experiences for our members. Fun fact: Kalissa's love for outdoor adventures stems from her upbringing in Utah, where she enjoyed activities like hiking, skiing, and mountain biking. A heartfelt thank you to Kalissa for her outstanding contributions to our YMCA family and community!
